Representing new district, Wheeler Re-elected Kankakee County Board Chairman

A swearing-in ceremony was held in Kankakee Monday for newly-seated County Board members. And the Board’s re-organization finds the recent former Chairman back in the lead seat. Andy Wheeler was re-seated as Chairman. He resigned his seat in Kankakee District 15 just two months ago when he relocated to Bourbonnais. He was then appointed to fill a vacancy.

Monday, Wheeler was nominated to the Chairmanship and re-elected as the lone nomination to the Chair. District 3 member Todd Sirois and District 18’s Robert Ellington-Snipes were nominated for the Vice-Chair with the Board voting in favor of Sirois 20-6.
