79th District State Representative Jackie Haas is in Springfield for her first go-around as a new lawmaker. She was recently sworn in after being elected in November to represent the Kankakee area. She’s inviting constituents to participate in a round table forum before the General Assembly convenes for the Spring Session.
“As a new representative, it is important to me that the people of the 79th District have a voice in their state capitol. The bills I draft should be relevant to the interests and well-being of my constituents,” Rep. Haas stated. “I am looking forward to hearing their suggestions.”
The round table will be Wednesday, January 20 starting at 4:30 pm at Rep. Haas’ District Office, 370 E Court St. in Kankakee. The meeting is by appointment only. Constituents can make appointments at RepHaas.com. There will be an online suggestion box open to constituents who cannot attend the event.
