The positivity rate for COVID-19 just keeps on climbing upward for Illinois’ Region 7, the Kankakee and Will County area. Today’s (Friday) reading hit 10.5%.

The COVID Region 7 positivity rate has been showing a steady climb, in the double digits since Tuesday. Thursday’s reading was 10.1 percent up from 9.8 on Wednesday. The number was 9.6 % Tuesday. The Region, which includes Kankakee and Will Counties, needs to return to the 6.5 percent for 14 straight days before the state will lift additional mitigation rules imposed on October 23.
