The Region 7 positivity rate in Illinois is improved. The good news comes from the Illinois Department of Public Health. Region 7’s positivity rate has dropped from 8.8% last week to 7.4%. Region 7 includes Kankakee and Will County. The number must remain below eight-percent to avoid additional sanctions. The positivity rate has to reach 6.5% for 14 consecutive days in order to return to Phase 4 of the Governor’s restrictions list.
