The National Weather Service in Chicago says that seven brief tornadoes touched down during Monday's derecho storms across Northern Illinois. No one was reported injured although trees and homes were damaged. Com-Ed and Ameren crews are busy restoring power. Some people will have to wait until Saturday to get their service restored.

The National Weather service says it’s still investigating and that there could have been more tornadoes than the seven that have been confirmed.
