Iroquois County Coroner Bill Cheatum said a 61-year-old Momence man was found dead along Route 52 Tuesday morning, but the man’s death was not foul play. Cheatum said the man may have suffered a heart attack or some other medical problem. An autopsy was scheduled.

Passerbys had noticed the man walking along the route earlier. Cheatum said the man was then found unresponsive in a ditch. His car was found about 3 miles away. It’s believed the man had started walking after his car broke down.
