Milford, Paxton Holiday Parades canceled

COVID-19 health and safety concerns have canceled this season's Crhsitmas Parades in Milford and Paxton.  Milford's 5th Annual prade was scheduled for Sunday, November 29.  The parade and other related activities have been called off.  Paxton's 2020 event is also canceled due to safety concerns. Other events  sponsored by Paxton PRIDE will continue, including the annual tree-lightning ceremony at 6 pm Friday, November 27. Gibson City is also announcing its Christmas Parade was canceled.  A holiday house decorating contest is sponsored by the Gibson City Area Chamber of Commerce. Prizes will be awarded for the four-best decorated homes.

Watseka's annual Lighted Christmas Parade is a go.  The 2020 parade is on the calendar for Friday, November 27 at 7 pm.  Registration forms are avaialble at the chamber office. "Santa's Helpers" is this year's theme.  A re-designed parade route is to provide for social distancing. Parade entries are not allowed to distribute candy or other items.  And all entries must wear a mask.

The Lighted Christmas Parade in Bradley is also set for Friday, December 4.  It begins at 6:30 pm.  The parade theme is "Christmas Memories."  Entries are welcome.
