Mayoral contest takes shape for Village of Bradley

At least a 3-person race is shaping up for mayor of Bradley in April.  Mayor Pro Tem Mike Watson is seeking the job, as is local businessman Gene Jordan.  Now, recently-re-elected Kankakee County Recorder of Deeds Lori Gadbois has announced her candidacy for the mayor's office. Gadbois is also a former 16-year Bradley trustee was defeated in an April 2019 election ina bid for a 5th year on the village board.  Gadbois announced (Thursday) her bid for the mayor;s job, saying the community needs to be 'regional' and open up opportunies, not isolate ourselves."

Mike Watson is acting-mayor, having been appointed by the board to suceed former Mayor Bruce Adams, who resigned in April of 2019.  Also having filed as a Democrat candidate for mayor is businessman Gene Jordan.

Petitions for the April 2021 Consolidated Election are to be filed with the Village Clerk's Office December 14-21.
