Masons present grant to Watseka Park District

The Watseka Masonic Lodge and the Illinois Masonic Children’s Assistance Program presented the Watseka Park District a grant of $5,300. This grant allows for the creation of homework stations, a clean, safe place for children to go after school and on days they are not in school to work on school work, as well as technology to assist students in their remote learning process. Careful planning went into creating a socially distanced and safe environment by using plexiglass stations, signage, wearing masks, and regular reminders to use safe practices while in the Park District.

Masons Christopher Both and Kevin Hack of the Watseka Masonic Lodge presented Sherry Johnson, Executive Director of the Watseka Park District, with a check and certificate for the grant.
