The most recent COVID positivity rates are showing some improvement, but health officials still insist the public needs to maintain safety measures. Illinois’ Region 7 is still sliding downward. The rate was down to 15.7 percent Monday. That’s down from 16.8 Friday. Individually, Kankakee County is down to 12.2 and Will County’s rate was listed at 16.8.

Iroquois and Ford County are in Region 6, where the rate was improved too. Monday’s rate was 12.2, Iroquois County’s number was 14.8. But that figure is up from Fridays 13.5
