Jasper County, IN crash kills 2 juveniles

A weekend crash in Jasper County, IN left two young people dead. The sheriff’s department reports two juveniles were in a car that ran into the rear of a tractor that was pulling an implement. It happened on State Road 14, near CR 200 W early Saturday evening. Emergency responders said the two victims became trapped inside the car when it caught fire. The names haven’t been released. Police said the driver of the tractor wasn’t hurt.

Will County crash kills a man >
An I-55 crash early Monday morning killed a 33-year-old man. The Will County Coroner's Office said a man from Blackstone (IL) was northbound on the interstate, near Wilmington, when a wrong-way driver hit his car. The victim, state police reported, was northbound when a southbound vehicle – in the northbound lane – hit the victim's vehicle. The victim was pronounced dead at a Joliet hospital.

Car-jacking ends in a crash near Peotone >>

An un-identified man was seriously injured in a pursuit Friday night on I-57 that started in suburban Calumet Park and ended at Peotone. A sports car (Jaguar) was car-jacked, starting a pursuit that ended when the driver lost control and hit the center-median. The car burst into flames, throwing the victim out. Three others in another car escaped serious injuries.
