Iroquois Mental Health Center announces Re-Opening

The Iroquois Mental Health Center is back open offering services at its main locations -- Watseka, Kankakee and Manteno. The re-opening was effective Monday, June 8.

Executive Director Dr. Dennis Hopkins said "our staff has been looking forward to seeing clients again, not just talking to them on the phone or over video conference."  He adds, "while our agency continued to provide services remotely throughout the pandemic, there's a lot to be said for the therapeutic connection and positive energy that happens when people are able to meet face-to-face."

That plan for re-opening, Hopkins said, is in accordance with Governor Pritzker's Phase 3 Plan for Illinois.  The health department has taken many measures to ensure the safety and health of employees and clients.
