Higher temperatures could mean buckling pavement. The Illinois Department of Transportations says it is on the lookout for such problems. IDOT officials say they will repair buckling pavements as quickly as possible, but they urge drivers to stay alert and provide crews plenty of room to do their job. Motorists can report pavement failures by calling 9-1-1, or by calling IDOT at 800-452-4368.
