Rantol Police are investigating after human remains were found in a waterway Wednesday. Authorities say the body of a male were discovered in a field near North County Road 1838 E in Champaign County.  Police said the remains were near where a bicycle of person reported missing had been found earlier. The bicycle belonged to David Franklin of Rantoul.  He'd been reported missing on September 3.  No identification was determined on the remains found. Rantoul Police, Champaign County Sheriff's Polcie and Champaign County Coroner's Office are investgigating with an autopsy planned.
