Head Start program shut down

A popular program serving a three-county area was shut down amidst an investigation.  Iroquois, Ford and Vermilion counties benefit from the programs offered thry Head Start.  The program is manged by the East central Illinois Community Action Agency.  The offices were closed Tuesday.  Upset employees said it's fiscal mismanagement that led to an investigation and the government closing the door on the program's funding.  Employees were laid off.

Mismanagement accusations were turned over to the Illinjois Department of Economic Opportunity.
