Gilman man sentenced for Dealing Look-Alike Substance

A 41-year-ld Iroquois County man was sentenced to 2-years in prison for drug offenses.  David Blair of Gilman pled guilty in Grundy County Court to the unlawful delivery of a look-alike substance.  It's a class 3 felony.  He is being sent to the Illinois Department of Corrections.

The State's Attorney's Office reports an undercover officer met with Blair to buy $200 worth of heroin at an undisclosed location in Grundy County in January of 2017.  A purchase was made and the lab tested negative for any controlled substance.  But that substance was Ibuprofen.

Blair had prior convictions for the unlawful possession of a controlled substance.  He was given credit for time spent in the Grundy County Jail.
