A Grundy County warrant sparked the arrest of a Gilman man in Watseka.  41-year-old David Blair was arrested by Watseka Police.  The Grundy County warrant was for failing to appear for possession of a controlled substance. He was also charged with obstructing justice when he failed to identify himself to the officer. Police had been called to a business location about a suspicious person.

Watseka Police also arrested 33-year-old Timothy Brown of Watseka.  A traffic violation led police to find Brown was in possession of METH.

 Kankakee shooting death investigated

The Kankakee County Coroner’s Office is working with Kankakee City Police investigating the death of a man. 30-year-old Roger Jackson was shot several times while sitting on a porch on S. Rosewood Avenue.
