Festivals canceled

The COVID-19 pandemic has led to another longtime area tradition to be called off. The 2020 Vermilion River Fall Festival has been canceled. The annual event normally features food and craft vendors, a car show and live music each year in September at Ellsworth Park in Danville. This would have been the 46th annual event. Organizers are hopeful the festival can return in 2021.

                            Parke County Bridge Festival Canceled

The coronavirus pandemic has caused one of western Indiana’s largest festivals to be canceled too. Officials in Parke County have decided to call off this year’s Covered Bridge Festival. The 10-day festival normally would begin the second Friday in October, showcasing the county’s 31 historic covered bridges.
