Early Voting pace showing big turnout

The Early Vote in Iroquois County is already 1,770 --- as of Tuesday morning. That’s certainly pace to score higher than the last presidential contest in 2016. County Clerk Breein Suver reports in 2016 the total number of Iroquois County early-vote ballots was 2,060.

Kankakee County Clerk Dan Hendrickson says the early voters are encouraged to cast that ballot ahead of election day. He reminds citizens the elections office is open Monday thru Friday 8:30 am ‘til 4:30 pm. Special voting hours are also available on Saturdays. Check with your local county election officials for other questions.

In Iroquois County --- THE ELECTION DEPARTMENT WILL BE OPEN SATURDAY, October 31 from 8:30 am until noon. Voters can visit the office anytime to vote prior to Election Day. Also, if you’re not registered to vote or you’ve moved and need to change your address, visit your clerk’s office with 2 forms of identification to take care of business.
