Dwight Man Accused of Failing To Register as Sex Offender

Braidwood Police arrested a sexual predator at a local motel. While patrolling a local business site, an officer ran a LEADS check on an unoccupied, parked vehicle. The LEADS inquiry revealed that the registered owner, Anthony Schargorodsky of Dwight failed to register as a sex offender. Questiong a motel operator. police learned the 40-year-old Schargorodsky has been staying there at the motel for seven days. Further investigation led to Schargorodski being arrested and charged with Failing to Register as a Sex Offender.  That's a class three felony. Will County court records show, Schargorodsky was sentenced to nine years in prison on a criminal sexual assault charge in 2008. He’s now jailed on a $75,000 bond.
