Coroner Duane Northrup is releasing information regarding a two-vehicle crash that occurred on Route 45, north of Thomasboro, in Rantoul Township Wednesday night. It was a head-on crash on Route 45 near 2700 N. in Rantoul
Township. 67-year-old Steven E. Block of Urbana reportedly was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of Route 45.  He collided with another vehicle driven by 28-year-old Kristina N. Freeman-Mann of Rantoul.  She was northbound. The drivers of both vehicles were pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in the Freeman-Mann vehicle was transported to Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana,

An autopsy will be performed Friday, 10/23, on Mr. Block.  There will not be an autopsy performed on Ms. FreemanMann.  Illinois State Police and the Coroner conti nue the investigation.
