There has been an uptick in coronavirus cases in Illinois. The Illinois Department of Public Health Wednesday reported 1,941 new coronavirus cases and 35 additional deaths. Of those deaths, only three people were under the age of 60.

Kankakee County Public Health reports one new death over the last 24-hours. The death count is now 71 in the county, 21 new cases reported Wednesday and a total of 2,609 confirmed cases.

Iroquois County added two new cases Wednesday. Vermilion County added four new cases, the total now at 475 cases.

Livingston and Vermilion Counties each added one new death.
