COVID deaths: 3 more in Kankakee County, 1 in Iroquois

Illinois public health officials (Thursday) reported 168 more deaths from COVID-19. Included were three more in Kankakee County one additional in Iroquois County. Fatalities were also recorded in Livingston, Champaign and Will Counties. The state’s 168 coronavirus deaths is the highest one-day total since mid-May.

Iroquois County’s positivity rate came in at 20.2 percent. The Region 6 positivity, which includes Iroquois and Ford, held steady at 14.3. The Region 7 positivity, which is Kankakee and Will County, was at 20.7%. Kankakee was at 22.5 while Will County’s rate was 20.1.

Illinois recorded 14, 612 confirmed cases of the virus on Thursday.
