COVID-19: Younger patients among new cases

Health officials are reporting much younger people are among the new cases in area counties. Meanwhile, COVID testing in Illinois is surpassing five-million. There's been 52,000 tests per day on average. And more counties are offering mobile testing.

Vermilion County Public Health is reporing 16 new cases in the last day.  The county also reported 52 new cases from Friday to Saturday.  Tuesday's numbers included one person in their 20's, three in their 30's and one in their 40's. The 52 cases from Friday to Saturday included 11 people in their 20's, three teenagers, two grade-school children and one infant.

Iroquois County reported one new case Tuesday, the total confirmed now at 351.  Kankakee County added 11 new cases fora total count of 2,689 since the pandemic began. Ford County's death count went up one Monday, now at five. Ford County has 131 cases. Livingston and McLean counties each added one new death in the last two days.
