Coroner Gessner sworn-in for 5th term

Kankakee County Coroner Bob Gessner led a field of five Kankakee County officials (Monday) when they took the oath of office for new terms in county government. Gessner earned the trust of voters in the November election for his 5th term in office. Over the years, Gessner has led several studies and investigations into trouble-some deaths related to illegal drug use and homicides connected to drugs and shootings.

Also sworn in was State’s Attorney Jim Rowe, Sandy Cianci as Circuit Clerk, Auditor Jake Lee and Lori Gadbois for County Auditor.
