Contested races limited, locally, in Iroquois County

Countywide elected officers in Iroquois County will coast into new four-year terms in today's General Election.  Circuit Clerk Lisa Hines, State's Attorney Jim Devine and Coroner Bill Cheatum are all un-contested.

Breein Suver is seeking the County Clerk's office.  She's looking for voters support for a 2-year un-expired term to fill the vacancy of Lisa Fancher who retired in September.  Suver and staff also busy directing this General Election.

Judge Michael Sabol is un-opposed for the vacancy on the bench in the 21st District.  Judge Sabol succeeding the retired Judge James Kinzer.  Also looking to fill a vacancy in the 21st Circuit are Bill Dickenson and Kenneth Wright, to fill the vacancy of the Honorable Judge Clark Erickson.

District 2 for Iroquois County Board finds four names on the ballot for three seats.  Republican incumbents are Barb Offill and Ernie Curtis and also Republican David Penny.  Independent candidate Paul Rossow also seeks voter support for one of the seats.
