Damage assessments were being made Tuesday after several buildings were damaged from a brush fire in rural Bourbonnais. It took firefighters some time to bring the spreading flames under control near 3100 W Road. There were no reports of any injuries.

No rain is likely into next week. Fire officials have been asking people to avoid burning with the dry, windy conditions in the forecast.
