Bodies recovered, identified from Kankakee River

The Kankakee County Coroner’s Office has identified two people whose bodies were recovered from the Kankakee River. Both were presumed drowning victims after a family-outing went bad Sunday. Tuesday morning, searchers found the body of 36-year-old Tony Sun of Chicago. His body was recovered near the Bourbonnais Sportsman Club. Monday, the body of 32-year-old Liu Lianwu of Chicago was found.

Bourbonnais Township fire officials had reported it was family outing Sunday morning. They were walking the river when two were caught up in the current and never re-surfaced.
