Big COVID numbers in Illinois Wednesday

Illinois Public health officials reported 2,295 new confirmed cases of coronavirus (Wednesday), along with 25 more deaths. It was also the biggest day yet for one-day testing. More than 50,000 tests were conducted.

In Kankakee County health officials reported 15 confirmed cases of COVID-19 Wednesday. The number of those individuals infected with the virus is 2,016. The death count is still at 67.

Iroquois County has 280 confirmed with another 21 listed as probable. There were zero positive cases on this day. Ford County Public Health reports another two new cases today. There are 83 cases on record.

Northwest Indiana cases Wednesday included no new positive findings in Benton, Jasper, Newton or White Counties.
