Saturday storms moved across central Illinois Saturday, taking out power to nearly 18,000 Ameren Illinois customers. Ameren crews were continuing to make progress as more than 770 field personnel made repairs across the area. The company estimated that power would be restored to customers in Champaign, Gilman and Fisher by 8 p.m. Sunday.

Ameren said due to extensive damage in Chenoa, Gridley and Flanagan, customers would have power restored today (Monday) by Noon. Other areas, like Decatur and Peoria customers should anticipate restored power by 3 p.m. today (Monday).
