One person is dead following a five-vehicle crash in Fountain County, IN. It happened around 6 p.m. Monday evening on State Road 28.  Police said the crash started when a westbound driver in an SUV was waiting to turn left into a driveway. That's when a car rear-ended the stopped SUV.  A third driver swerved from the westbound lane to the eastbound lane in an attempt to avoid the wreck and hit a pickup pulling a trailer head-on.
Another eastbound driver was unable to stop in time, hitting the trailer. Four people were taken to an area hospital. One of the people involved in the crash later died.
