$5-million bond for double-homicide suspect

A second man suspected of killing two people inside a Kankakee apartment building last week is jailed on a $5-million dollar bond.  33-year-old Thomas Aaron Jr. made his first court appearance Tuesday in Kankakee. The State's Attorney's Office said Aaron was the person who killed Albert Zaragoza and Elliott Shepperd. Their bodies were found at the location on West Bourbonnais Street in Kankakee. Because it was a double murder, if convicted, Aaron would face life in prison.

Also arrested was 25-year-old Joseph Jaworski, who's charged with concealing a homocide and possessioin of a stolen vehicle. Jaworksi's bond was set Monday at $500,000. 

Police arrested both men over the weekend. Thomas Aaron was taken into custody along River Road in Kankakee afetr a brief pursuit.  Jaworski was located in Dixon (IL), in possession of Zaragoza's pickup truck taken from the Bourbonnais Street apartment complex..
