4,015 new cases ... Illinois reports highest one-day record of COVID-19 cases

Illinois public health officials on Thursday announced the highest number newly confirmed cases of the coronavirus in a single day since the pandemic began and the 53 additional deaths are the most in a single-day since late June.

Iroquois County now has 429 confirmed cases of coronavirus, five new cases reported Thursday.  Ford County reported four new confirmed cases for a total of 230 cases.  One new death was recorded in Kankakee County.  Health officials say 75 have now died from the virus.  Forty new cases were confirmed Thursday.The total caseload now stands at 3,076.

In Indiana -- Jasper County reported six new cases,Newton and Whiye Counties each had one new csses.  Benton County had three new cases. 

The Indiana State Department of Health reported 1,962 new cases Thursday with 23 additional deaths.
