An early-morning crash (Monday) left three people dead, including a three-month-old child. Details come from Illinois State Police. It was a single-vehicle crash just after 12:30 in the morning on Illinois Route 50, south of the Wilmington-Peotone Road.  A northbound vehicle left the roadway, entered a ditch, hit a tree then became engulfed in flames. Killed was a 22-year-old male from Steger, a 23-year-old female from Steger and a 3-month-old female.

Kankakee woman dies in 1-vehicle crash ---

Kathleen Vance, 36, of Kankakee, died in A single-vehicle crash Friday morning left a 36-year-old woman dead. 36-year-old Kathleen Vance of Kankakee was pronounced dead at the scene at North 7000W near West 4000N Road.
Authorities reported Vance was traveling south on 7000W Road when her car crossed the centerline and left the road coming to rest against a pole on the east side of the road.
