2 incumbents, newcomer win Iroquois County Board seats

A limited number of contested issues on Tuesday’s General Election ballot in Iroquois County. For District 2 on the County Board, Barbara Offill and Ernie Curtis won re-election while newcomer David Penny will join the board. Independent challenger Paula Rossow came up short with 11% of the vote.

Local voters made it very clear they didn’t like the Constitutional question for a fair Tax. It was defeated 83 – 17 percent.

Congressman Adam Kinzinger was supported overwhelmingly with 84% OF THE VOTE IN HIS BID FOR re-election in the U.S. Congressional 16th District.

Voters also showed support for Judge Michael Sabol and Judge Bill Dickenson – they earned seats on the bench in the 21st Circuit. So did former State Rep Lyndsay Parkhurst.
