Kankakee city police and the Kankakee County Coroner's Office are investigating a Sunday night shooting.  A 17-year-old boy is dead.  Police report the victim was sitting in a vehicle while parked on S. Nelson Avenue when the shooter approached and began firing.  The gunman fled the scene.
