Ashkum, IL- Illinois State Police District 21 is reporting the arrest of Kamari B. Wells, 24, of Kankakee, for Possession of Cannabis more than 2.5 grams/less than 10 grams.

An Illinois State Trooper on patrol in Kankakee County Monday observed a vehicle matching the description of a vehicle used in an armed robbery traveling on 9000 North Road. The trooper conducted a traffic stop and spoke with the driver 24-year-old Kamari B. Wells of Kankakee.

The trooper smelled the odor of cannabis emitting from the vehicle. While searching the vehicle the trooper located cannabis and driver admitted to the cannabis being his. It was determined that Wells' vehicle was not the vehicle from the previous armed robbery.

Wells was also issued a warning for defective windshield and improper display of license plate.
