Kankakee shooting nets four arrests

Kankakee Police are reporting the arrests of four people in connection with the Friday shootings on South Lincoln Avenue.

Two people were hit by gunfire in the 600-block. Their injuries were not life-threatening.
The Daily-Journal reports the shootings are still under investigation.

34-year-old Galactica Pope and 44-year-old Mark Ivy were treated for gunshot wounds. They were also charged with reckless discharge of firearms.

Police also reported the arrest of 26-year-old James Stevenson and 39-year-old GeJuan Davidson. They're charged with unlawful use of a weapon, possession of firearms by a felon and having no FOID card.

Police also recovered two handguns.
