Monticello man arrested after pursuit

A Monticello, IN man is jailed in White County, Indiana after leading police on a chase Sunday thru two counties..

Indiana State Police say a pickup truck driven by 23-year-old Bradley Ayers was speeding across the Washington Street bridge about 10:30 Sunday night. Troopers say Ayers kept driving along U.S. 24 in White County before turning off onto several different county roads. Investigators say he lost control and wrecked his car in a field off a County Road in Carroll County.

A K-9 unit located Ayers about 45 minutes later along a creek under a bridge.

Ayers has outstanding warrants in White, Knox and Montgomery Counties.

As of Monday night, he is being held in the White County Jail on felony charges of Resisting Law Enforcement with a Vehicle and Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated with a Prior Conviction within Five Years. Authorities say his license was suspended at the time of the pursuit.
