Task Force nabs Bradley man on weapons charge


A 32-year-old Bradley man faces weapons charges after his arrest Friday by Kankakee Police and the Kankakee County Major Crimes Task Force. Adam Johnson was wanted on an outstanding warrant stemming from an illegal sale of a gun to an undercover officer.

In 2010, Johnson sold a firearm to an undercover Project Safe Neighborhood Task Force member. At the time of the sale, Johnson was already a felon.

Johnson was arrested in the 1200 block of East Locust Street in Kankakee for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and unlawful sale of a firearm. He was indicted by the Kankakee County Grand Jury on Feb. 21,
He is being held in the in the Kankakee County jail.
