Two cars collided and rolled over on Interstate 57 Sunday afternoon. Five people were treated at area hospitals. State police reported the accident happened south of Paxton.

32-year-old Lavette Montgomery of Champaign was southbound when her sport utility vehicle sideswiped a pickup truck in the lane next to hers.

Both cars rolled over and came to a rest in the median. A 13-year-old and 11-year-old girls in the car with Montgomery. Police report the pickup truck occupants were a Tolono woman and a Bethany woman.

All five were taken by ambulance to Carle Foundation Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Montgomery was issued a ticket for improper lane usage.
