A Saturday morning funeral service is scheduled in Watseka for Watseka High School teacher and coach Brent McTaggart.  The 36-year-old product of Watseka High died Tuesday morning at Carle Hospital in Urbana. He was involved in a single-vehicle accident Saturday in Iroquois County.

Saturday's funeral will be at 10:30 am at the Watseka High School Gymnasium.  Visitation is Friday 3-8 pm at Trinity Church on Route 24 East in Watseka.  There's also 1 hour of visitation prior to the service Saturday.

McTaggart was an art teacher and an assistant football coach.  He was a graduate of Watseka High School.

The Watseka Unit Nine School District made counselors available Tuesday to speak with students and staff.

Brent is survived by his wife, Casis, three children, Kennedy, Andrew and Addison.  Also surviving are two brothers, Kirk and Todd and his parents, Paul and Linda McTaggart.
