Former Fire Chief Faces Sentencing for Theft >

Former Limestone Township Fire Protection District Chief Jeff Brosseau has pleaded guilty to felony theft charges.

The 56-year-old wrote himself checks totaling $55,000 between December 2006 and February 2009, according to prosecutors. At the time, Brosseau served as treasurer for the Kankakee Valley Firemen's Association.

When sentenced, he could get Probation or up to seven years in prison.
