Cultra back in charge of GOP in Iroquois County

The Iroquois County Republican Central Committee is under new leadership -- again.

Former State Senator Shane Cultra of Onarga has taken the reigns. Russell Bills of Watseka resigned from the Central Committee Chairman’s seat last week, just weeks after taking the post.

Bills, who also serves as a Precinct Committeeman and County Board member, accepted the Chairman’s job in December after Larry Bauer of Clifton resigned.

Cultra had been the GOP Chairman for several years while serving in the Illinois House of Representatives. He stepped aside when he was appointed to the State Senate.
