Paxton jewelry store burglary nets three arrests

The theft of an estimated $175,000 worth of jewelry and coins from a Paxton business has led to the arrests of three Danville men.

All three suspects are free on bond, but face a Class 2 felony charge of burglary. The men are charged in the burglary last fall and again in January of Hewerdine’s Coin & Jewelry in Paxton. Each suspect is charged with possession of stolen property.

28-year-old Ryan Banks, 27-year-old Brandon Enos (E-nis) and 26-year-old Ryan McLaughlin were arrested by Paxton Police. A search warrant was executed at one of the suspect’s home in Danville.

Police said some of the stolen property was pawned in Arizona and Nevada over the last few months. Some of the stolen property was identified as items taken from Hewerdine’s.

Police said all three men had been customers of the store and visited there several times.
