The Iroquois County Republican Women will award a $500 scholarship to one young woman graduating in 2013. Applications are available through guidance counselors at all Iroquois County high schools.

Academic excellence, involvement in extracurricular/community activities and involvement in Republican Party politics will be the primary criteria in determining the winner. Some examples of party involvement may include working as an election judge, helping with elections in other capacities or assisting with Republican Women events.

Additional criteria for eligibility is that you must be a three year resident of Iroquois County, registered to vote if you will be 18 by February, 18, 2013, proof of US citizenship, a letter of recommendation, copy of your most recent school transcript, and must be a member of or a relative of a member of the organization.
