Many shutouts and lopsided wins in week 2 of Illinois high school football, we start with Bishop McNamara shutting out St. Ignatius 47-0. Jonnie Evans and Dalton Major combined for 364 yards rushing and 6 TDs.
Bradley-Bourbonnais shut down Kankakee 35-0. Colin Holderman with 149 yards passing and 2 TD passes, while Jarrod Ware had 2 TD runs.
The Momence Redskins, ranked #4 in the AP Class 2A poll, wiped out Chicago Christian 56-12. DeAndre Wright scored 5 TDs, and had 316 rushing yards, giving him the Momence and area career rushing mark with 4,630 yards.
Jason Morgan had 4 TDs to lead Manteno to a 41-14 win over Reed Custer. Peotone got by Seneca 27-20. Joey Janutis had 2 TDs, one on a kickoff return. While Danny Beresky also had 2 TDs, one of them on a pick-6.
Iroquois West goes to 2-0, shutting out Blue Ridge 38-0. Henry Gerritson rushing for 134 yards, and 2 TDs, one on a 73-yard kickoff return for a score.
Watseka wiped out Paris 49-21. Daulton DePatis 130 yards rushing and 1 TD, Tanner Martin had a pick-6, and Austin Blair added 65 yards rushing and 4 TDs of his own.
Milford all over Broadlands Heritage 55-6 to go to 2-0. The Bearcats’ Josh Marquez rushed for 162 yards, and 2 TDs. QB Jacob Marquez threw for 127 yards, and 3 TD passes. Also 3 TD runs by Devon Laubscher.
Elsewhere, Wilmington shut out Sandwich 27-0. Coal City shut out Dwight 41-0. And Lisle beat Herscher 27-17.
Central wiped out Salem 55-0 in a lightning-shortened game from 9/1/12. J.R. Caspary threw 3 TD passes, Logal Gigl rushed for 135 yards and 2 scores.
As for Indiana Week 3, it was Class A #6 ranked Pioneer all over S. Newton 62-3. Fountain Central all over Riverton Parke 65-6, Michael Duane with 3 TDs and a safety. Tipton over Benton Central 47-7. West Central over Tri-County 61-6. Winamac 42, North White 32. Caston 41, Frontier 6. And North Newton easily over Calumet 48-13, Chad Schultz rushed 20 times for 246 yards and 5 TDs.
