Talley, Poskin among defendants indicted by Grand Jury

A police standoff in St. Anne and a series of fires in Kankakee and Bradley earlier this month led to indictments in Kankakee County.

Timothy Poskin of St. Anne faces charges of Aggravated Assault and Resisting Police officers.  The charges stem from an altercation at a St. Anne residence August 10th.  Poskin is alleged to have swung a shovel at officers and wrestled and struggled with officers at the home on W. Grant Street in St. Anne.

Sheriff’s Police said Poskin hid the basement of the house when officers went to serve an arrest warrant.

Several police agencies responded to the call.

Umaran Talley of Kankakee was indicted for Aggravated Arson and Residential Arson for allegedly setting fires to houses and a garage on Schuyler Avenue in Kankakee and Bradley between August 2 and 6th.  Police said he also set fires on N. Schuyler Avenue and E. Willow in Kankakee.  Talley is also charged with 4-counts of Arson.
