State Police DUI Arrests

            PERSONAL INJURY CRASH RESULTS IN DUI ARREST                                                          

 Ashkum, IL – An Illinois State Trooper responded to a traffic crash on IL Route 113 near 3000 West Road on 8/16/12 at 10:22 p.m.  The trooper observed a green Honda off the roadway in the ditch.  The trooper spoke to the driver, Jason Sean Powell, 38, of Kankakee about the crash.  While speaking with Powell the trooper observed that Powell had consumed alcoholic beverages.  Powell admitted to drinking alcoholic beverages that night.  Powell was transported to Riverside Hospital for minor injuries.  While at the hospital Powell failed the standard field sobriety tests that were offered by the trooper.  After being released from Riverside Hospital, Powell was placed under arrest for Driving Under the Influence.  Powell was transported to the Jerome Combs Detention Center for processing.   

On Sunday, August 19, 2012 at approximately 7:27 p.m., KAMEG agents arrested Sophia D. Crumbley, age 33 of 884 Gettysburg Drive, Apt. #4, Bourbonnais, Illinois.  KAMEG served a search warrant at Crumbley’s home after receiving a citizen’s complaint about drug dealing at that location.  Agents seized eleven bags of cannabis packaged for sale and a digital scale.  Crumbley was charged with Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Deliver and was detained at the Jerome Combs Detention Center where she posted a $1,000 bond.
