A 36-year-old St. Anne is in custody after he held police at bay for a reported five-hours. The stand-off ended early Friday morning with the arrest of Timothy Poskin.
Police officers had gone to the house in the 400-block of W. Grant Street in St. Anne to serve an arrest warrant. Police said Poskin was wanted on a Wisconsin warrant for threatening to bomb a government building.
St. Anne Police, Kankakee City Police, Kankakee County Sheriff’s Police and Illinois State Police had surrounded the house late Thursday night. Poskin was hiding in the basement and reports said he threatened to shoot officers and himself.
